This is a great article, and I see that we still have until May 27 to submit comments. It would seem that the Texas based company is assuming approval from FERC, as they have already started laying the pipe along the road in the BIKE LANE on Flatbush Ave between Bell Parkway and the Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge like it is a done deal. I would like to think they would need a city permit to block a bike lane, and would like to know how they got it. I filmed the pipeline as we drove along Flatbush avenue: that is a couple of minutes of footage already.

Sorry I only read your article today May 10,2013 & was very happy to see the CFTC investigating Natural Gas price fixing/manipulation by large investment banks. Unfortunately up to this time I can see no progress made in this investigation as this fraudulent practice has become even worse over the past months as evidenced by the "natural gas future real time charts'. Just yesterday Thursday 9, 2013 after the EIA released their weekly NG report of an injection of 88BCF surplus the price of NG defied all logistics (Surplus, weather etc..) and spiked upward. Traders see the 'candles' on that chart as a "portrait" of direct price manipulation for big profit taking & are helpless to fight these Wall Street bullies. Millions of $ have been lost by traders who invest in the market using 'sound & honest business principles.' This fraudulent & unfair competition erodes all their confidence & ability to makes smart decisions during trading. We exchange ideas on Investment.com & many feel that these large invetment banks are to blame not the least of which is Goldman-Sachs who has been notorious in the past for screwing their own clients.
Because of their financial power they feel that they are above the law as proven by their 'persistent manipulation' of the market & thumbing their noses at the CFTC as to say "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!"

On behalf of all the honest traders I hope this message can be conveyed to Mr. Gary Gensler of the CFTC by encouraging him to persue these criminals with all his tenacity and bring them to a swift justice.
We would all be in his debt.

I think any/all State Supreme Court judges who's hands are obviously in the pockets of the natural gas consortium MUST NOT ONLY BE MADE TO DRINK THE (what they are ruling as "UNCONTAMINATED") WATER from these sites permanently, and not be allowed to drink bottled water or access city tap water, but must have the ground water from these fracking sites brought to their homes and installed into their water piping and their FINANCIAL RECORDS must be made public disclosure to scrutinize "payoffs" for their rulings.

Thanks for the update on Mobile, early sources said the explosions & fire were due to:
1. CNG, or,

2. LNG, or,

3. Natural gasoline.

Jessica - I ordered mine online from Home Depot - my daughter bought hers at Lowe's. I hope you buy one, or however many you need - depending on the size of your home - just like the smoke and CO2 detectors we all have. I bought one for my small apartment - my daughter's new home is large with three levels - she has four of them. Middle range cost seems to be $50-$60. That's what we each chose. Well worth the cost in my opinion...Dee

A house exploded here in Madison OH back in January and another exploded yesterday in Geneva about 5 miles away. The house in Madison was unoccupied due to owner death 8 mos prior but the gas was still on. The house in Geneva was heated by electric but had a capped line that was shut off. The man in the house in Geneva is a family friend and awoke to a gas smell and made the mistake of flipping on the light switch. Thank God all 3 people inside got out alive. The gas co, Dominion Gas claims there was no gas leak in Geneva but, several neighbors smelled the gas. I think the gas company is lying. Something is going on around here. What do we do?
