Talisman Terry, the friendly fracosaurus, wanted to teach children all about hydraulic fracturing and why it's good for everyone!

Talisman Energy may have sent Terry the Friendly Fracosaurus out to pasture, but you can still download a copy of the coloring book that features the natural gas-drilling dinosaur right here at NaturalGasWatch.org.

“Talisman Terry’s Energy Adventure” was a 24-page coloring book aimed at children, ostensibly to instruct them in the virtues of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, as it has come to be known in the parlance of our times. Fracking is the process by which millions of gallons of water, laced with a toxic brew of chemicals, are injected deep underground to break up rock formations, thereby freeing the natural gas trapped within.

The coloring book had come in to criticism recently, most notably from U.S. Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) and Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert, which is why they pulled it.

Talisman distributed the coloring book at community fairs throughout northeastern Pennsylvania, and also made it available for download on their website — which NaturalGasWatc.org did.

The coloring book is missing the page where the family is all on fire because they tried to get a drink of water from the faucet…
